While we've got a list of cool toddler toys over here, we also want to remind everyone to be safe at bath time.
1) Never, ever leave your toddler unattended in the tub, even for a moment. Hopefully this doesn't need an explanation!
2) Move dangerous stuff out of reach. We all know that toddlers like to grab anyhting they can get their hands on, and if we don't want them too, it makes it all the more fun! Make sure all electric items like blow dryers, etc are out of the way.
Check out What To Expect for a few more safety tips.

Toddler Bath Problems
There have been times when my son throws an unbelievable tantrum at bath time. Other times he doesn't seem to mind.
At any rate, there are a few potential issues to keep in mind about this.
1) Fear of hair washing, etc - some toddlers are terrified of water running over their faces. To deal with this, you have to help them realize that nothing bad will happen if the water runs over their face.

Cleaning Bath Toys
It's important to remember to periodically clean your toddler's bath toys. Why? Because otherwise they grow gross mold on the inside! Eww! Here's a couple of gross pictures I found out on the internet:
No, you know what? One is sufficient! This is what the inside of those awesome toys eventually looks like!
Here is some excellent info on how to clean them to prevent this from happening:

Toddlers and Throwing
One thing I mentioned in passing in my bath toys for toddlers post was the issue of my son him throwing his toys. When when was about a year and a half, maybe a little earlier, he started throwing EVERYTHING. After doing a little research, we found out this was completely normal and actually developmentally appropriate.
Of course it started to get a little frustrating when he would throw large toys that put nicks and dents in our wood floors! Knowing that it would be pretty much futile to try and keep him from throwing since "forbidding" him only made it more fun (for him of course), and we didn't want to stifle any appropriate development!
Anyway, I found this article at What To Expect to be a decent summary with some advice. Of course, having soft toys, like the five sea squirts from the last post, around that you don't mind being thrown is also helpful!

Bath Toys for Toddlers
Bath toys for toddlers
Some of the best gifts that we have received for our son over
the past year or so have been bath toys for toddlers. As the holidays approach
and we are looking into gifts for family member's toddlers, this is what comes
to mind. Let me show you the three that I've liked best and why I chose the one
I did
But before I do that, let me paint a picture for you. If you
have a toddler, I bet it's one you've had to deal with before as well!
My son doesn't really care for baths. There have been times
when my wife and I have tried to give him one and he has screamed his little
lungs out the whole time. It's sad and even mildly traumatic for everyone
involved!
One time during one of these screaming bath fits, his
grandmother suggested that we use something else to distract him. Even though
he always hauls around toys when he's not in the bath, I never really put this
together. Maybe it was the whole new parent thing, or maybe I was still
suffering from the sleep deficit I racked up when he was younger!
At any rate, next time grandma came around she had some toddler
bath toys with her, and it really helped!
Now, on to some that I think are particularly cool.
Best bath toys for toddlers
Sorry to state the obvious, but first you want to make sure
that the toys you're getting are made of materials that float and won't get
messed up in the water. It's also important to make sure that they are durable
enough to withstand the abuse that they are sure to take from your toddler!
Chewing, throwing, all that good stuff.
My son has absolutely loved these toys because they are a
good size for him, and once I showed him how to make them squirt water, he
couldn't get enough of playing with them. In fact, the became some of his
favorite toys out of the bath as well! This actually worked out quite well for us
because when he went through a phase of throwing everything he picked up, we
could give him these and they wouldn't do any further damage to our house. Good
times...
I found that this set of toys is a good size, occupies him
while he's in the tub and has excellent ratings. Click here to see the best

Fun bath toys for toddlers
Of course it's the fact that he is kept entertained and
engaged that distracts him from the fact that he is being clean, so we try to
rotate in toys that do different stuff so that he doesn't get bored with just
one thing.
It's always a bonus when the toys not only entertain, but
serve a useful purpose, like helping increase developmental skills such as
hand-eye coordination. One toy that covers both of these bases well as a fun
bath toy for toddlers is the Tolo Toys Funtime Fishing set. It has magnetic
fishes and fishing pole so that your toddler can practice fishing in the bath
tub! If this is something that you'd like to learn more about, use this link
because it leads to the lowest priced listing that I found on Amazon.
More bath time toys for toddlers
Another thing my son enjoys is reading... Well, at least
holding books and looking at the pictures. Naturally we want to do as much as
we can to keep him interested in books, so he hopefully continues reading in
the future.
Obviously we don't want to risk messing up his regular books
by getting them anywhere near the water in the bath tub, so we had to find
another solution. There are a number of them out there, but I found one that is
pretty popular and made especially for toddlers to read in the bath tub, so I
think it would work great for you.

book and check the latest prices, just click here!

toddlers that I researched above and let me know what you think!
